Stereo Embers calls Gregory Ackerman's new song "utter sonic perfection"

SONG PREMIERE

Thanks to Stereo Embers for premiering the newest single from Gregory Ackerman. “Taken from the California-born singer/songwriter’s marvelous new album 𝘚𝘵𝘪𝘭𝘭 𝘞𝘢𝘪𝘵𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘚𝘵𝘪𝘭𝘭,” they write, “‘Mr. Moon’ is shimmering with delicacy and strength. Buoyed by a shadowy backbeat, a sneaky melody and Ackerman’s inimitable and unforgettable delivery, ‘Mr. Moon’ is two-and-a-half minutes of utter sonic perfection.” No qualms with that description!

Stream the single, and its two b-sides, everywhere tomorrow (Friday, August 20). 𝘚𝘵𝘪𝘭𝘭 𝘞𝘢𝘪𝘵𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘚𝘵𝘪𝘭𝘭 is out September 17.

Austin Town Hall is enjoying the Enigmatic Foe

SONG FEATURE

Austin Town Hall on The Enigmatic Foe:  "Throw around references like The Go-Betweens and The Church, and you can bet you’re going to catch my attention... I tend to hear this more of a blend between Britpop and late 90s college rock… and I don’t mean that negatively, as clearly I’m here enjoying the shit out of this tune."

American Songwriter goes deep with J Hacha De Zola, breaking down the process and vision behind new LP Easy of Eden

FEATURE

J Hacha De Zola is mostly self-deprecating when it comes to his art, but there’s a methodical movement to his musical madness," writes Tina Benitez-Eves, doing an incredible thing at American Songwriter and digging deep for this overview.

I’ve worked with J for a long time, and it's one of those situations where I have the privilege of seeing an artist create a persona and then systematically step into it over time. This piece reflects that back to me… love it! Okay, back to the hype: 𝘌𝘢𝘴𝘵 𝘰𝘧 𝘌𝘥𝘦𝘯 is out now. Listen to it over and over and over at Fanatic.lnk.to/JHachaDeZola-EastOfEden

Gregory Ackerman pours his heart out to American Songwriter with the premiere of "Losing Sense," featuring Illuminati Hotties

SONG PREMIERE

Gregory Ackerman recently poured his heart out to American Songwriter about a crash-and-burn fling that resulted in "Losing Sense," a non-album B-side (feat.
