20 Minute Loop shares Holocaust statement song "Giftgas" via Atwood.

PREMIERE

20 Minute Loop approached this subject matter with an incredible sensitivity and reverence that I've never heard in a song about immense human tragedy before. Thanks out to Atwood Magazine for eloquently covering "Giftgas" with that same attitude. This song is the sole new number on Songs Praising The Mutant Race, the band's stripped-down reworking of songs from its extensive catalog, out tomorrow.

Fawns of Love channel Kate Bush, Cocteau Twins, Slowdive on new single. Hear it via FLOOD!

PREMIERE

FLOOD Magazine nails it in its premiere of "That's What We Do" by Fawns of Love, saying the Bakersfield, CA, duo "draw heavily on their love of Kate Bush (their name being a Hounds of Love reference), but they filter her through the soft gauze of Cocteau Twins and Slowdive." Debut album out March 3rd, band plays L.A. at the Echo Park Film Center tomorrow!

The March Divide covers The Cure (and Robert Smith's hairstyle!)

PREMIERE

I'm psyched about the series of 80's cover songs that Jared Putnam of The March Divide is releasing, each accompanied by a different cover image created by Krist Krueger, and featuring Jared "wearing" the era-compliant hairstyle of the artist he's covering. First up is "Closedown" from The Cure (as if that wasn't already clear!) Thanks out to Verbicide Magazine!

The Bluegrass Situation with the premiere of "Faded" by Cotton Mather feat. Nicole Atkins

TRACK PREMIERE

Cotton Mather is nearing the half-way mark! Robert Harrison is writing 64 mini-pop masterpieces, one for each reading of the I Ching, an "extraordinary book about ordinary life," as he defines it. The latest is the final version of the song "Faded," which features Nicole Atkins on vocals, and is one of three tracks with Nicole for the project that will be released on 12/30. Thanks out to The Bluegrass Situation for premiering this one!
