Immersive Atlanta nails the love lying beneath Sloan Brothers' new LP and premieres Dream Tent's new remix

PREMIERE

"Sloan Simpson may not covet the spotlight, but he sure knows how to share it."

Wow, Immersive Atlanta nails the love lying beneath the surface throughout the entire Sloan Brothers project, including this remix by Gene Woolfolk III (aka Dream Tent) of the title track "System Update," premiering now!

"The result is a pulsing effort that recontextualizes the song as a sprawling dance-inflected freakout. Here, Woolfolk takes Simpson’s lurching desert rock stomp and reveals the disco heart pumping within."

VIDEO PREMIERE

Thanks to Adobe and Teardrops for spotlighting Caitlin Cobb-Vialet's "Disco Ball" video!

"Cobb-Vialet’s theatrical training shows...While the song sports the bold melodies of a Broadway number, Cobb-Vialet twists the form into a clever, complex pop composition."

"Expertly crafted pop-leaning narratives that echo the tuneful and complex arrangements of artists such as Sia and Regina Spektor, while leaning hard into a deep personal lyrical style."

Independent Clauses premieres CLIFFWALKER's "Punching Clocks," which "delightfully teeters on the edge of chaos"

TRACK PREMIERE

When I saw that Stephen at Independent Clauses was posting regularly again, I had to send him this track from the instrumental Portland-based bass & vibes duo of Cliff Hayes (Buellton, CARCRASHLANDER) and A. Walker Spring (Old Time Relijun).

Together, they are CLIFFWALKER.

As Stephen states, "The interplay of the leads produces the experience of a spy-movie chase scene. The piece delightfully teeters on the edge of chaos, if only because it’s rare to hear this sort of combo go at it."

Loving this. Check it out! The debut EP Painted Gray Sky is out on June 24.

Hobart Rowland says, "With a voice that’s as malleable and conversational as it is riveting and unconventional, the 25-year-old singer/songwriter has invited comparisons to Regina Spektor and Fiona Apple with 𝘌𝘯𝘥𝘭𝘦𝘴𝘴 𝘝𝘰𝘪𝘥 (War Chant), a surprisingly poised, brutally honest debut that blows by in just 26 minutes."
