Bio (Continued): Shunda K is back in the UK after being voted to the NME’s "Cool List," and preparing her solo debut album for the newly established Fanatic Records. The FEEL EP is Shunda's second collaboration with Flore, following up the Summer 2009 single "The Test." Love and support for this talented twosome is not only coming from the UK press, but also from UK broadcasters at BBC Radio 1, XFM and Kiss FM.
"Feel Da Bass" is one for the bass line crew with Flore laying down a killer bassline under a mash up of hip-hop, electro and percussive elements to devastating effect. Shunda K brings the pressure on vocal duty to round off a track that is sure to do as much damage on the iPod as it will in the club. The two-step vibes of "Feel Da Bass" are matched perfectly with the laid back vocals of rapper Flyy Git, intertwining perfectly over the Flore's flowing bassline. The additional Caper remix of "Feel Da Bass" is a funky affair not to be missed as he takes us on a trip down memory lane with his garage-laced dubstep take on the track.
Next up is the deliciously sleazy, electro, hip hop vibes of “Feel Me” as, true to form, Shunda K gets down and dirty from the get-go, setting the scene with a provocative strip tease of a vocal that lures you all the way in. Flore keeps it on the down low with pure electro hip-hop inspired funk beats that wouldn’t be out of place blaring from a street corner in Vice City. The Peo De Pitte remix of "Feel Me" takes no prisoners on its way to the dance-floor, delivering a full-on, firing breakbeat assault that’ll challenge even the heaviest of club tracks this winter. A funking chunking big ass breaks number, with stop-start jerk funk punctuated with Shunda K's sassy vox.
*** Plant City, Florida based Shunda K is the lyricist, ambitious entrepreneur and quick talking MC behind your favourite God-fearing, openly gay, lady-loving hip-hop juggernaut Yo! Majesty. Currently concentrating on her solo work, Shunda can soon be seen performing her contribution to the Peaches track "Billionaire" (taken from the Peaches album I Feel Cream) in that song's upcoming video as well as appearing as the opening act on Peaches upcoming Australian tour in January 2010.
